NOT a happy Camper

Just found out Blue Cross will not cover the sleeve.... They say it's experimental... How come United Health can cover it but not Blue Cross.... With the THOUSANDS of dollars I pay for my medical insurance.... This truly SUCKS!

I'm battling with United Health to just approve lap band.  it's an exclusion and I'm working on a letter for appeal it.  it is frustrating when you pay all this money for health coverage and when you need it, you have to fight them.   Good Luck!

I had gastric bypass 1 year ago and my blue cross covered everything without a problem.  however, i am now trying to get coverage for a tummy tuck...way too much excess skin  resulting in some nasty rashes/infections...but they said no...still working on that.  don't know anyone who had the sleeve procedure.
