Frustrated!

Does anyone know how conservative Dr. Giovanni is about fills!  Could I ask her to give me a little more than she did last time?  She only gave me 1cc and it definitely did nothing.  I think I need more to get more restriction.  I can eat a little at a time, but I am hungry an hour later!  I am also startin to exercise at least twice a week outside the house and once a week inside the house.

I have not lost anything in over a month, getting discouraged because I am really trying to make the band work for me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated???

Thanks
Jenn

I have Dr. Roye and he's pretty conservative with fills so far.  I had 4 cc's put in the first time in December and I just went to him Friday and he put in .5 cc's.  He gave me the option of getting to restriction quick or sliding into it. I choose the latter.  I don't want to take a chance of having too much and getting sick.  I eat protein mostly and that keeps me full for the 4 - 5 hours but if I eat carbs I'm hungry in 1 - 2 hours. Play around with what your eating and see if that helps.  I'm going back for another fill on 4-9 and I'm going to see how I feel with that.

Hey Jenn,  sorry you have gotten so frustrated.  I know it can be.  My advice for you would be to ask Dr. Giovanni for more of a fill and explain to her how you have been trying and getting discouraged.  She wants you to succeed as much as you do.  Open up and talk to her.  Maybe she has a reason why she only filled a little.  But the only way to find out is to talk.  I am sure she will appreciate the honesty too.  It will help in your relationship with your surgeon also.  Good luck and let us know what happens!   Eldy

Hi Jenn.  I remember how frustrated I was too.  She will probably continue to be on the conservative side, but definitely have the conversation with her.  I know that I found it easier with each fill, but I think it was over a year before I felt like I had hit the "sweet spot" where it was really working for me 100%.  I remember feeling your frustration and thinking that I was just doing this on my own, but it will happen!
