I did go threw that should I really do this or not. The thoughts of the new me keep me in line. Just think how great you will feel when u get the weight off. I am only  10 days out. I already feel  better. It is not easy but it is worth it. Come to groups and keep loggging in here. Thats what helps me keep going. It is so good to have so many people on your side:-)  Good luck you can do it we are all here for you.

Mia, it is ABSOLUTELY NORMAL TO BE SCARED!!  You are going to be going through a life changing, major surgery.  The thing to remember is that there are 1000's of people that go through major surgery ever single day and everything turns out perfectly fine for them.  You will be fine as well, and to answer your question, yes I was scared before the surgery as well.  It was so much days or weeks before the suregery for me as it was the morning of.  I asked my wife to drive to the hospital and that is unheard of from me, i always drive b/c i always want to drive.  Then I remember laying on the bed in the pre-op area and crying telling my wife i was scared and nervous.  And here I am 4 days shy of 4 months out and down 85 pounds since pre-surgery weigh in and down 101 total since May 2009.

Just remember the reasons you are doing this, for a better, longer life and to see your children grow up.  You will do just fine, just stay positive and focused!  Good Luck

Brian

Hey Chill !!

Everything will be fine, you would not be normal if you were not scared, it's a short stay at the hospital,if you are having lapo, the first night is the toughest, you will be out before you know it
