3 month checkup
I just wanted to share my news!
I just returned from my 3 month check up with Dr. G. I'm down 61 pounds since the surgery, 70 pounds since starting this WLS journey and over 80 pounds from my highest weight!! I'm off all prescription medication except one (for my fibromyalgia) and so far my vitamin regimen looks great!
Sam (my pouch) is getting used to a lot of foods and can handle sugar in small amounts ~boo-hiss~ but I know better than to eat the wrong things and stay away from them. Christmas saw me gaining about 3 pounds but I've been working on getting those pounds off and I'm on a roll!
Dr. G was thrilled with my progress and so am I! She said I'll probably start slowing down weight loss wise around 6 months but that I shouldn't have any problem reaching my goal (not hers) at my next appointment with her in March.
Here's to the next 60 pounds coming off just as easy!
I also want to say thank you to so many of my support group groupies! ~smiles~ Your trials, tribulations, successes, and friendship have helped me get this far! I don't have support at home or with my family so all the support I have received from you has been my lifeline! Thanks!

Hey Hey KJ!
Great job! Thanks for sharing this with us! You know, sometimes the family we choose is more supportive and caring than the family we were born with. Looks like YOU are making the right choices in spite of your family situation.
It takes being a friend to have a friend...and YOU, my friend are a great one to have around!
You're a phenomenal woman!
Jules

Keep your eye on the prize and I'll see you in Feb. Unfortunately I'll miss Jules meeting in Jan, I am treating myself to a little R&R in Fla. However, I'll be missing ya'all but will be back before you know it.
Also Great Job Kim you look great at the last meeting!!
