so, seems that since im about 8 months out, I seem to be doing the " Grazing" everyone seems to talk about.
Whats worse, is I can eat ANYTHING... and i do mean anyhting. Nothing makes me sick.  i really wi**** did..
i Really have NO willpower, and its killing me.. I afraid Ill go back to the way i was, and its only been 8 months.
im sure others have this problem, and my question is,  do you think going to someone  a pshyc would help me with this ?  I seem to have alot of issues, that im not able to talk to my wife about, and unfortuantly, she seems to create alot of my problems. or im afraid that ill hurt her and our family talking about these issues.

Thanks all, I know I can count on you all to help me and get my ass back on track !

Hey Jared,   sorry to hear you are having a tough time.  I do think that going a Psych would be your first option.   I keep hearing that the surgeons operate on our stomachs, not our heads.  Most of our issues are in our heads.  Then after starting there, you might want to see your nutritionist.  But that would be secondary.  My guess is, you know what to and what not eat.  Its in learning to find out why and how to change the emotional eating.  Its a big issue.  You are definetly NOT alone with this.   Good luck.  Maybe you already know a good therapist, or maybe someone here can recommend one.  Good luck and we all want you to succeed!     Eldy

Hey, Jared!

I'm with Eldy here, I'd see a mental health professional first.  It sounds as if you have some eating/comfort issues that haven't been discussed or resolved.

Then get to your nutritionist! He/She can help you find foods that satisfy you and hopefully that will stop you from grazing.

Have you tried keeping a food journal?  Once you see everything going into your mouth, it might give you a reason to stop grazing, too.

And lastly, get to those support groups!  I'm sure someone is going through the same thing and with all the people that attend the groups, we can brainstorm and give you some ideas that you think would work for you.

I'm here if you need to chat!

Jared....

I wish you luck - You'll do it...

I am starting the process but I KNOW that I have emotional eating problems.  I've tried some therapists here in RI but haven't found any I life for "this problem".

I would love to hear of any professionals that works with emotional eating problems and how to get to the crux of WHY we eat.

Jared - stick in there... you have people who will listen!
Hopefully going towards a better life with the support of others!
