Hi This is Brian's wife, I promised him I would post tonight to update everyone. He is doing well. He was pretty convinced that Dr Roye would have to do the surgery open, but he was able to do it laporoscopically so yeay! He did have a complication though, apparently when they were transecting the stomach, the top of (I assume the reminant stomach not the pouch) tore. He had to cut out a wedge of the stomach to fix it but Dr Roye assures me that this will not be a problem at all. Thank you for all the well wishes for Brian.

Hey Michele,

Thanks for the update!  I was thinking (and praying) about him all day yesterday!  Glad to hear that the tear won't be a problem.  (keeping my fingers crossed for that, too!)

If you need anything, please let me know!

Tell Brian to sip, sip, sip, and walk, walk, walk!  He'll be feeling better soon!

Glad to know he is out of surgery and was able to have Lap instead of open.  Thank god Dr Roye was able to repair his stomach and nothing worse happened to him.

Thanks for the update and I hope he has a nice and quick recovery!
