Just wondering why my legs felt like jello
Well my husband & I decided to go for a 4 mile bike ride. My legs decided they had enough so the last couple of feet I decided to get off the bike and walk the hill. Problem is when I went to get off the bike my legs turned to jello and I fell to the ground in the street and when I looked up there was this big white Ford pickup truck coming at me. Yikes and I couldn't get up cause my legs was still jello. I had breakfast 45mins to an hour before the bike ride and I thought I ate enough. I had a (2) egg omelet with (1) slice of low carb wheat bread. I am a little over 8months post-op.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and what could have caused my legs to give from under me. Any advise?

Hi Lee,
I agree with Deb...probably muscle fatigue. When I was in the Army I would experience that after long ruck marches!
How are you feeling now?
Are you drinking your water/fluids? Especially while riding!
MUAH!

Thanks everyone for your input. I have to agree I think it might have been muscle fatigue also. I have been walking 3 miles/ 3 times a week however, I hardly ever get on the bike and when I do it's for about a 1 mile and that's it. My husband thought that because I walk all the time I would be able to do the 4 miles but my legs didn't agree with his plan.
I feeling good now and even after that happened to me on Saturday, I went home relaxed for about an hour and then walked around at the apple festival in Johnston and went about my day.
And yes Jules I'm drinking plenty of water/fluids lol Muah!!!
