2nd appointment

So I finished up all of my pre-op testing on Saturday, including the blood work.  The I call the doctors office yesterday morninga and tell them I need to make my follow up appointment.  The lady says I need to call back today b/c the one who books the appointments is out.  my initial thought was WTF???  how do you have a replacement that cant make a freakin appointment, what was the purpose of even answering the phone.  Just let it ring and ring and ring....anyway, that annoyed me and brings me to today...I GOT TO BOOK MY FOLLOW UP!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!  August 19 at 10:20 i get to hopefully find out when my surgery date will be.  the 19th seems soooo far away, but in reality, its 2 weeks from tomorrow.  I cant wait.  I am very excited but at the same time the nerves are starting to settle in.  I am finally one step closer to pulling up my seat on the losers bench  =)

Anyone who has had Dr Roye as a surgeon, if you can give me any info as to what he does at this appointment and what he has his patients do leading up to surgery, please let me know via this message board or PM.  Thank you in advance!!

 I have Dr Roye do my lapband.  At my 2nd apt, he booked my surgery just under 2 weeks later.  He does not have you go on a liquid diet.  I think the bypass patients do have to take a nutritional class (more than just a one on one with the NUT), but I think other than that- you are good to go unless he finds anything in the testing which is of a concern.
