ALL PRE OP APPOINTMENTS ARE DONE!!!!!!
Well as of yesterday, ALL of my pre-op appointments are DONE!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! So now all I have to do is call Dr. Royes office on Monday and make my appointment with him so i can hopefully get a surgery date!! I am excited and anxious about this and keep thinking that surgery is still probably at least 2-3 months down the road still and man, thats a long time!! I guess it will go by as fasdt as it can and before i know it, the day will be here, what day that will be, well thats still TBA!! Hopefully I know by the end of August.
The pre-op appointments are not bad at all. You need to have your first appointment with Dr Roye's office before beginning any pre-op though. At that appointment you will meet with Dr Roye's NP. After that visit the office will submit the proper paperwork to your insurance company for approval. Upon recieving the approval, Dr Roye's office will then send you a pre-op package int he mail with all the appointments you need to fulfil prior to scheduling your next appointment with his office.
When you recieve your paperwork, you will find that they have booked a few of the appointments for you, however if the dates and times they booked dont work for you, you can always call the number for that appointment and change it.
As far as the pre-op testing is concerned, its pretty easy. nothing painful. The bloodwork, which is the last thing you need to do was probably the most painful and that was just a needlestick to draw like 16 viles of blood, at least thats how many for me. Its not as bad as it sounds, it took like 5 minutes.
Anyway, good luck with everything!
