Remeber, stalls are not your fault, they are the body's natural way of adjusting, so do not be discouraged when your changes do not affect the stall!!

You are doing great!!

Hi Rhody!   Johanna is absolutely right!  Your body needs to have these plateaus for it to adjust to your awesome weightloss!  It has to catch up.  Don't forget your body is going thru so many changes inside that you don't notice.  So think of these stalls as positive things.  They won't last and when they end they end good for awhile.  Then you will stall again.  I have had this happen 3 times so far.  I understand the frustration, but I try to remember my body needs this and i am doing this for life.  Its not just for now.  I have a life time to get where I want to be.  At least now, my lifetime has increased many more years than it was before surgery.  You are doing great!  Congrats on your success!   Take care!  Eldy

Hey brother I hear you!  I'm in one now, just a lil over 6 months out! Try to keep in mind...that is a marathon, not a sprint. We are making changes for the rest of our life not just trying to see how much weight we can lose quickly. I am going to see my NUT this AM and Im going to specifically ask how many cal is a good idea to adjust my diet by. Sometimes we have to eat more to lose...then adjust it back down again. Who the heck thought we would need to eat MORE to LOSE...

Hi Chris, I just got over a stall, and I was only 31/2 weeks out!  I stayed the same for 5 days!  I've started  to lose again but it was a little disheartening!  Im glad you wrote this discussion thread, all the answers have helped me also!
thanks!

Hey brother...this is just my .02.  This is how I do it, I MAY weigh myself a few times during the week, BUT I only count it on Wednesday for better or for worse.  So my suggestion is pick a day and stick with that scale number as your weight. Trust me I have weighed less on a Monday and more on a Wednesday, frustrating!!!

i am also caught in a stall mode after a 62 lb weight loss... been here for 2 weeks now, and hoping it leaves soon..

things have finally gotten better for me, and i think that was half my problem... i am now on my daily regimen of vitamins, and i am drinking more, and trying to eat more... still not enough but better...
i am going in on thursday, and will most likely end up with a  pic line, but that;s ok... its going to help me...

hope all is well with everyone...

take good care
linda
