Syntrax Nectar Proteins
Have heard through the various blogs, newsgroups, etc that the Syntrax Nectar proteins (Roadside Lemonade and Fuzzy Navel, in particular) are among the least offensive and most flavorful of the protein drinks out there.
I know everyone has an opinion about protein drinks...I've been lurking in the message boards for awhile now....
But, does anyone in RHode Island know if anyplace sells these products locally? I'd really like to "sample" the various flavors first.
If there isnt a place local to buy samples then I can get them from Vitalady.
Thanks!
Andrew
I did hear that the Fuzzy Navel was rockin'...now if I only could Spice up the protein with a little alcohol.....grin.

I get my protein drinks and all my vitamins from a place in Dartmouth MA. I don't know how far you want to travel. I frequently go to Trader Joes in Warwick so to me that is not a bad commute. The place is called Faunce Corner Nutrition. They have all kinds of samples. My favorite protein drink is Syntrax 5.0 Cookies and Cream. They also sell all the Bariatric advantage vitamins and well as fusion vitamins. You can also order the stuff online and when you get there it will be all ready for you.
Good Luck

Hello,
If it helps, I find the Isopure Vanilla and Chocolate mixed with milk to be the most palatable. For me it is all about smell and I just can't stand the smell of Whey so it makes it difficult to find things that I can drink. Divinci syrups (divincigourmet.com) have been a Godsend for me. Adding these to protein drinks helps me a lot. For instance, add orange sugar free divinci syrup to Vanilla Isopure and you get something that tastes close to creamsicle.
I've tried Nectar products. They don't work for me (but my hubby likes them) if you go to Bariatriceating.com you can order a Nectar sampler pack too. It includes the Roadside Lemonade flavor as well as a bunch of others. For fruit flavored Nectar stuff you can mix it with water but you might want to consider getting some complementary Crystal Light packets to mix in with them. Helps to mask the protein taste and makes it more like fruit drinks/lemonade.
Good luck finding a protein you like. I went through a lot of them before I settled on the Isopure, so don't give up! :-)
