Hey all,
Had my first fill today and was surprised at how PAINLESS it was! I didn't even know the needle was in:) I drank a cup of water while there and it went down fine. I do notice now that when drinking it kind of "bubbles" its way down. I don't feel "stuck" but I feel like I have to swallow a lot. Is this normal?? I definitely feel a difference with restriction and have been full! Something I haven't felt since before surgery:)
Thanks!
Jess

I was surprised too that it was so painless. I guess you can think of the water trying to go down a drain that is a little slow? I didn't feel much restriction until I had had about four fills so it is great that you feel this already!
The only advice I can give you is that fills are very fickle. I have had fills that gave me no restriction but then two weeks after the fill some restriction. I have some days when the restriction seems to disappear and then come back days later. If I get stressed the band gets very tight. It also helps to drink all the water that his recommended. It definately makes a difference wtih the restriction for me. Also there are times when I feel that I have no restriction and it is becuase of the foods that I am eating. I have learned what foods will give me an accurate gauge of how my restriction is and when I'm feeling lose I try to eat something that will definately fill me up. Sometimes it is so easy to eat foods that go down really easy and then I wonder why I'm not full?
It is a wonderful learning experience!
