OT: I got a job .... FINALLY

Hi everyone!

Well its been a long 4 1/2 months since I got laid off and I FINALLY found a job.  As many of you know I was on the district HR team for Home Depot and got laid-off in January when all those announcements came.  The past few months have been frustrating and often discouraging .... luckily Ben & Jerry's did not win this emotional roller coaster.

I got a job offer yesterday and I have accepted and done my drug test & background and may start as early as next week   I am sooooooooooooooooo ready to get back to work.  I am going to Lowe's as a store HR manager, will train for 8 weeks in Brockton and then I wait to see which store will be mine.  

Good news is I will have Wednesday nights off (close 2 Tuesday's a month) so I can still come to Julie's meetings. 

Congrats to you!!    Given the atrocious state of our economy, 4 1/2 months is a short time to be out of work.  Hope you just love this job!

I can't wait to get back to work, I will know this afternoon my start date but it may be as early as Mondy.  They want me to start right away.

Good news is that I don't have to do Wednesday nights and can still make your meeting.  I will have to close 2 Tuesdays per month, and work 2 Saturdays a month but that's retail.
