So I seem to have a stomach bug and am having difficulty keeping foods down.  Has anyone with RNY experienced this and if so what did you eat.  Before surgery I would have toast and tea but since surgery I can not tolerate any breads/cereal etc.

wow sorry you're having a tough time.  You know, I really don't know what to do in that situation.  Maybe take some protein shakes.  Make sure you are getting enough liquids in.  Water or flavored with Crystal lite ( some have vitamins and all).  Or you could call Dr. Pohl's office for advice.  Good luck.  I hope you feel better real soon.  Being sick is miserable.   Take care and let us know how you make out.   Eldy

I haven't had to deal with a stomach bug yet....thank goodness.  Think you're on the right track trying to keep up the fluids and sipping through the day.  You can still have the tea if that's been ok with your pouch since surgery.  Would sugar free Popsicles help you at all to get some fluid in?  Great you were able to get some of protein shake down.
Sending feel better wishes your way.
