Psych office visit question?

Hi Michelle!

Welcome!

You've received a lot of good input here! I think the best input was 'Be Honest and True to yourself'!

I have to agree with what Andrew says too. For the most part, we ARE emotional eaters and that's a valid reason we became obese in the first place.

I have to tell you...if you don't 'pass' the first psych eval, there's a reason and it's best to get to the reason BEFORE having ANY WLS than to try and figure it out after!

The WLS journey is a very physical AND emotional journey and we can do ourselves a lot of physical AND emotional harm if we don't review ourselves and make sure we have healthy enough bodies and healthy minds prior to the surgery.

It helps to look at it as part of a whole hoop.....we've got the cardiologist part, the psych part, the PCP part, the insurance part, the dietician part and the bariatric surgeon part of the hoop. It's just a small part of the whole that can either hold us up or move us along.

Good luck to ya!

Jules

Hi Jules-
Thanks so much for your input. It is true. I have two phrases I always go by and that is "Things happen for a reason" and "Good things come to those who wait" .

So I am going to be myself and let the "chips fall where they may".

Thanks again
