Cathy, if you don't like the Body Fortress and you bought it, I will absoluetly BUY it from you.  That goes for Marcia too.

I hope you like it though.  Good luck!   Eldy

Eldy,

I was going to suggest seeing if anyone would want to purchase the shakes that she doesn't like but wasn't sure if that would be a good option or allowed on here.

I went on the pre-op diet for 4 months prior to my surgery and after the first few day's it was actually pretty easy.  I lost 45 lbs and used the 100% Whey shakes from GNC.  They have several flavors, favorite is the Choc/Caramel.  I still have a shake almost everyday first thing in the AM.  I tried the shakes from Dr. Pohls office and only like the Proti-15 flavors since they are not chalky like the creamy flavors.

Good luck!  Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize.

Thanks Eldy,
I actually found the EAS from Walmart to be okay,  OKAY being the key word!  I will try the Body Fortress next time I go  to Target.  I have to find one that I can tolerate for the next month, so I'm willing to try anything!

IMHO, the best powered protein is Isopure "creamy Vanilla" available at GNC.  My wife had issues with some protein powders and we like this one the best.

Also, still cooking for your family is VERY tough.  When i was on liquids, i have to admit smelling food cooking is the worst, it drove me nuts.

If you family is fully behind you on this, they should help support you by avoiding this.  Perhaps some alternatives than you cooking should be the norm during this time frame.  I understand that this may not be the easiest (or realistic) adjustment for your family....but it will help you tremendously!
