Oh Liza...  I am so sorry.  But I am more sorry that your pcp let you down.  I would rely more on Dr. G now.  Let her treat you for this.  She has more interest in it.  Also, if it helps,  I too, had to delay.  When I went to the cardiologist( which was the last thing i had todo), she said my  blood pressure was too high and would not clear me for the surgery.  She had to put me on meds ( already on 2 for bp) and I had to keep going back to her until she was satisfied that I could have the surgery.   So just know, you are not alone.  And here i am now post op.  You will be too.  Better safe than sorry.  You will be better for it.  Praise Dr. G and her diligency.   We are here for you and feel your pain.  Everyone will understand the circumcstances.  Take care and thinking of you..   Eldy

Liza ~ Ugh!  Not what you wanted to hear so close to your date.  It is frustrating but best it's figured out before surgery.  Thank goodness the pre-op testing is so through and all this will get resolved.  Know it's not easy, but try to stay positive and I'll send positive thoughts your way too.  Please let us know how things go.

So sorry that you had to find out at this late date.  It is good that it was caught though and you can get it under control. It is better for you in the long run to have this under control and will put you in a better position in the long run.
Hang in there!

Ugh!  Thyroid levels I found out are sort of subjective to a Dr's opinions of in what range of acceptable they are.  The range has gotten better in the past several years- but still not great.  I have been battling this for many years now and only after I fought and fought for a diagnosis- did they acknowledge an issue.  I was told how my levels were fine- but after the diagnosis- I got a "wow- those were way off".  If you are already on a thyroid med- it is a simple matter of fonding the right dose.  Unfortunately this process can take some time between your body adjusting to the new levels.  When you levels are where they should be- you will feel so much butter as well- less draggy, etc!
Sucks to get this info when you are so close to the finish line (or the starting line of your new life).  You will get through it and PM me about thyroid issues if ya want
