pre op diet begins
hi .... i just started my pre op diet yesterday.... i already made a vitamin mistake.... guess i am suppose to take 4 vitamins total a day.... 2 flinstones in the am and 2 flinstones in the pm along with viactive??? plus 3 shakes , and a healthy choice or lean cuisine????
how much weight do u typically lose during the pre op... dr pohl told me anywhere from 15-20 lbs... i was shocked... thought if i can lose that in 2 weeks, imagine 2 months????
my surgery is may 19, and i cant wait...it's like christmas.... this is the biggest gift i have ever given myself....
looking forward to making some new friends, especially fellow rhode islanders that are about to walk in my shoes, or who have already....

Hi Linda!
I only took 2 Flinstone chewables a day. Maybe that's changed.
I also did three shakes a day and a healthy meal each night and lost 17 pounds during the two week pre-op diet. I didn't really start the largest loss until over a week on the diet.
Remember to drink lots and lots of water and low cal fluids! They will help keep you full during this time. And stay/get active. Go for walks. Especially when you feel you want to eat, munch and devour everything in sight!

i need help with the daily routine...is there any one time better than the other to have these shakes and dinner???? space em out so i am not so hungry...because believe me when i tell you....i am starving!!!!!!!!!!!

i think i was misunderstood on the vitamin thing, and i believe it is only 2 flinstones a day... but is that one in the morning and one in the afternoon, or both at the same time???? (i think they confused it with the optisource)
is there any schedule u found better for the shakes and one meal a day???? kinda spread it out so that i am not so hungry????
i def have to find something to do when the munchies come, otherwise i want to eat everything in sight...

thanks for the hello.... i am excited about becoming the new me...for me it's not about being a size 4 ...it's more about being healthy...besides, i would never look good in a size 4...
i am taking things one day at a time, and setting realistic goals... the first one being to complete this pre op and not hurt anyone...lol
i am on day 3, and want a cigarette more than food... i definately can see where i compensated...
