Home from inner ear surgery
Hey Folks,
I had major inner ear surgery on Tuesday. I had a cholesteatoma, hearing loss and bone loss in my inner right ear.
The surgery took 5 hours and I ended up staying overnight. My surgeon had to remove two bones (necessary for hearing but I don't remember which ones) and had to cut a nerve because the cholesteatoma was wrapped around it. So now I have no hearing and have lost sensation in part of my tongue and taste buds.
I go back in for reconstructive surgery in 6 - 8 months. Although I'm looking forward to hearing from that ear again, I really don't want another surgery!
I'm so tired of surgeries. It's even making me think twice about plastics in the future.
Sorry to whine. Just needed to connect. I can't drive for a while but I'll be at all the meetings this month come hell or high water! My daughter can bring me.
Hope to see you soon!
Jules

So sorry to hear that you had to go through that. I know the feeling about enough is enough with the surgeries. I had a rough year last year and I never thought I would endure ANY medical procedure ever again. Yet here I am. You will know when the time is right and you will have your plastics. For all of your hard work you deserve a great body.
Hugs, Tiffany
Thanks everyone!
I love you all so much and cherish your support!
See you all again soon!
