a little bump in the road
Just got home from roger Williams hospital last night. I had an upper endoscopy last wednesday just to check something out. As soon as I woke up I knew something was wrong. I had a terrible pain in my stomach. My doc did a bunch of tests and said everything looked ok. He also said while he was doing the test he found a stitch that never desolved from my RNY he said he tried to get it out but didnt have the right tool. So that could have caused some discomfort. From Wed-Sat I couldn't eat anything then Sat night I did try and eat and had terrible pain! I called my doc and he told me to the hospital ASAP. I was admitted for sever deydration after a bunch of tests the doc said when he tried to get that stitch out it caused a lot of swelling and possible bleeding. I am home now and doing great. Just wanted to put up a post to give an update oto those of you who have asked. Thanks
Thank you. I'm not really sure. Before he released me from the hospital he checked with the team who does the endoscopys there and asked if they had a special tool he needs to remove it but they didn't. I don't know if he will try again because he said the stitch can cause an ulcer. I am soooo scared to do another endoscopy. I have done them before and nothing ever happend but after getting that sick and feeling that much pain I dont want to do it again.
