cardiologist

if one has an ultra sound of the heart is that considered to be the cardiologist consult?

I had one way back when I started the process and would hate to do it twice. It would be helpful if anyone knew.

Hi!   You can ask the doctor that did the ultrasound to send the results to the surgeon.  But I know with the surgeon I have, it had to have been done within a year.  It was not.  So I had to have a stress test and ultrasound done again.  Its really no big deal.  They just want to be sure that everything is ok and safe for surgery.  Its in your best interest and you want to have as few risks as possible and you also want them to be ready for anything.  Good luck!   Eldy
