Just got home about an hour ago!

I just got home about an hour ago.  The pain was worse than I thought but manageable with the lortab.

I was supposed to start on liquified purees in the hospital, but they sent me home before I got lunch.  So I just tried eating some sugar-free pudding prepared with extra milk and baby peaches.  I got two teeny bites in using an infant spoon and that is it - I felt full so I stopped.  I am sipping on water,  should I be sipping on protein shakes or give myself another day?

I am burbing like a mad man - only one involuntary fart in the hospital... other than that just a whole lotta burping!!

Any advice for me??

Johanna ~ welcome to the LOSER's BENCH!  So glad to hear you're home and doing well :)

At first it's going to be difficult getting everything in, but I was told to focus on getting the water in at first and the rest will get easier as you're healing.   This is what I did the first few days.

Best of luck to you!!

Pam

Thanks Pam!  I am trying to drink and use the spirometer thing.  I am afraid to get pneumonia... I guess I recieved a pneumonia vaccine in the hospital too - something I never heard of before.

Thanks so much for your advice!

Glad to see that you are home!!! It is difficult to get everything in at first you do want o concentrate on water and protein for now try to alternate them!! Don't forget you can get your water source from Popsicles and the Jello as well!!!!

Burping is just as good as the other end get it out any way you can LOL!!!!!!

If you need any help just ask!!!!!
