2 weeks out....
I'm so happy you are out and about, even if its only a little bit. Everything I read says the lack of energy is common. So you are normal in that way, but that doesn't make it easier to bear. I hope your NUT gives you a wider range of choices tomorrow. I'd be surprised if she didn't as you have done so well thus far. I'm hoping the best for you. Let us know what she says, all of us pre-op folks want details on food...always the food, sigh, lol
Walking with you on this journey, Mary
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I didn't hear from you so I was happy to see your post and that you are doing well. Aside from low energy and boredom of the shakes, how is everything else? Are you still in any pain? Have you lost any weight yet? I just found out that I'm approved, Yeah! I don't have a date yet, but I imagine it won't be long now. How was Roger Williams Hospital?
Kris,
Congrats on getting out and getting active already! You're making a great start to your journey!
I was really, really tired for a good two months after surgery. The lesser calorie intake and the surgery really takes a toll on the body.
I found that the more I moved, the better I felt (the same to this day)!
Just keep moving, the energy will return before you know it!
Remember to sip, sip, sip your water all day long!
Hope you can make it to the support group meeting tonight!
Jules

I just responded to your email yesterday! I didn't even know we had email on here! Haha
I have to say that I noticed I was tired for a bit but now it seems to be getting better. I haven't napped in a few days, so that's a positive. I have to be back to work on Friday the 24th, so I gotta get out of the napping thing! If you are tolerating everything okay, let the NUT know that and see if you are able to step it up a bit. I was able to start on meats (ground of course) almost a week early because I haven't had any problems getting protein or water in. I did it and haven't had any problems with that either. Just take it slow and chew really well. Keep us posted on what happens with the nut.
