Hey all ~

I found this great web site which answers the question of how many calories should I take in for weight loss and/or maintanance.

I hope you find it as useful as I have :)

Pam:

I found that even when I entered little/no exercise it told me that I should have just under 2200 calories/day for extreme weight loss.  Thedailyplate.com came up with around 1400 calories/day for my profile.  The nutritionist told me 1500 calories/day pre-op.  I've lost some weight around the lower suggested amounts.

I'm wondering if this website it geared toward more normal weight people who are looking to shed a few pounds.

Just my 3 cents.

The thing is, this site is for those looking to lose weight on their own, not under a doctors supervision.  They cannot suggest such a low calorie diet.  I think for those in the maintenance stage this site is perfect.
