OT..finally something good

Hello everyone
Finally some good news to share ..... my hubby got a big promotion

Like so many of my friends I too have been laid off (since 1/24) and out looking for work.  It's been quite depressing hearing how many people are losing jobs and just getting "thanks for applying we'll be in touch" emails.  I'm extremely bored being home and can't wait to get back to work. 

Fortunately I got a really good package and still have another 2 months of severance coming to me.  But this promotion and increase definately helps us out.  

Other than that I completed my masters degree & thesis ... graduating on May 16th at 2pm

Leaving April 16th for a 4 night cruise (Key West, Cozumel, sea day) and then on May 8th for a 7-night cruise to Bermuda.   Can't wait to have some new pictures taken of us and I hope to lose some more weight before Bermuda.

Congrats to both of you!!!! I bet you're looking forward to the cruise. I'm SSSSOOOO jealous!!! I love beach weather!! BTW, I joined Planet Fitness in Woonsocket and I have the black membership too. Maybe we can get together sometime and work out.....that is once I'm at a pace that can be called a "work out"

I just worked my butt off yesterday doing weights and today I am going to try and get a good cardio workout in before heading off to a wake. 

 Sue, that is great news!  I bet you can't wait for vacation. Less than two weeks away. Hope you had fun buying new clothes to fit your new figure.  I went away in February and bought new clothes.  It was so much fun, now that we are in normal sizes.  The bad thing is they are all too big so won't fit me when the weather gets warmer.  ( Oh darn)  Have a great time.  See you soon!

Congrats on hubby's promotion!! That is great news and probably a stress reliever for both of you while you look for work.

Congrats as well on finishing your masters and thesis - that is a HUGE accomplishment and one you should be very proud of! What did you go to school for?

I am getting a Masters of Science Management (MSM) from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy.  My undergrad was in HR & business management, for the masters I went straight management.  Looking to do my PhD in HR though. 

A week from tomorrow and I will be flying to Miami to get on a ship
