Woo Hoo! 5K on Saturday, April 11th !!

First....

Thanks for your replies to my earlier 5K post. I will still be at the finish line cheering you on and taking pictures (you know me, the shutter bug)!

And........GUESS WHAT!!!!

There's a 5K on Saturday, April 11th!!!! It's called the Nutrition Fuels Fitness 5K!

Goddard Park, Warwik, RI

Registration opens at 8:15 am

They even have kid events including a kids' Fun Run at 9:30 am and an obstacle course!

The 5K begins at 10:00 am.

So, I will be there before 8 am stretchin' and gittin' it done!!!

Pre-registration is $18 for the 5K; Kids' Fun Run/Obstacle $4; Kids' Fun Run/Obstacle w/t-shirt $8.

If you're interested in joining me you can register online at www.needtorace.com through April 9th!

T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registrants. Adult T-shirts are $20 each; Kids' t-shirts are $8 each.

There are awards (even cash award) and all participants will be eligible for raffle prizes!

Sounds like a blast, huh?

You know julie, I have never done anything like that before. But you have a way of making anything sound like fun.  I would love  to give it a try.  How far is that???  I don't know my metrics (schooled in the 70's).  I will talk to my family and see if the day is open.  Maile says go for it.  She MIGHT do the obstacle couse.  I will let you know and if I do (which i don't see why not) I will sign up with the group!   Woohoo!   Lets do it!   Eldy
