So I finished the last of my tests today!  I called to set up the appt with Dr. Ryder and was told she is going on maternity.  So now I will be seeing Dr. Roye....can anyone tell me a little about him???  And does he require different pre op stuff than Dr. Ryder??  My appt with him is april 24th and i'm hoping to get a date!

Thanks!!

Hi Jess ~

I had Dr. Roye - from the first moment I met him I felt that I was in the best hands possible.   He is kind, compassionate (and very handsome).  His reputation is fabulous!  I'm not sure if he uses the same pre-op pre-requisites but he probably does as he and Dr. Ryder work in the same office.

Best of luck to you!

Pam

He is great!!  I definitely feel confident having him as my surgeon!! Also, my MIL works with quite a few woman at RIH who have had WLS and he was their surgeon.  All of their experiences have been positive!

I assume it will be the same too!  Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for all your responses!  I'm definitely feeling a little better about the change of docs:)  It was important for me to have a female physician, but i'm only hearing positive things about Dr. Roye so I think it'll be ok!
