coffee question
I want coffee LOL
I was wondering if anyone on the list has regular caffeinated coffee and if so how do you do with it and what are you putting in it?

Only decaf here. I was very addicted to caffeine prior to my surgery! During the two-week pre-op diet I started staying away from caffeine and had a major, major migraine headache!
Now, I find I don't need the caffeine at all. I don't get the highs and lows so I stay pretty stable.
However, I DO have a new addiction to Decaf lattes with skim milk and splenda. No fat, No caffeine, No sugar and it has 13 grams of protein too!
If you do decide to have caffeinated coffee, remember to replace it with water. Ex: 8 oz caffeinated coffee + 8 oz water (but neither counts toward fluids for the day). This is another reason I choose not to do caffeinated. Some days it's all I can do to get the minimum required fluids in. I can't imagine having to add another 16 oz. that don't even count.
Anyway, that's just me. My doc says it's okay to have 8 oz. caffeinated beverage a day.
If you want it, go for it! In moderation of course.

I drank coffee as soon as I got home from the hospital. They gave me some tea to take away my headache (caffine withdrawal) at the hospital the last day I was there. As soon as I got home I had my regular coffee. I love it and drink several cups a day. Hot in the morning and iced in the afternoon I use regular cream or half and half. Depends on whats on sale. I like my coffee strong and it actually helps my pouch for some odd reason. I drink water too but not really enough. Maybe a bottle a day. When I want it sweet I do use a sweetner. Sometimes I use sugar too. Depends on the mood.
For anyone reading this. Does anyone half trouble with chicken? It's been almost three years and I still have problems with chicken. Sometimes beef but mostly chicken. I seems to get stuck in my pouch and I have to vomit it up, the pain gets so unconfortable.
How about popcorn? I can eat that and not ever get sick. I love it. I make my own using a little bit of oil and pop my own. Does anyone eat popcorn?
