Early news!

Dr. G's office called me and asked if I could come in early today since she has to be in surgery this afternoon. Of course I said sure! and ran over there right after they called  .

The good news is I am cleared for surgery!!!! Woo hoo!!! I had all my tests and visits, I received insurance approval, I have quit smoking for 2 months so far and I have even lost 6lbs since I saw her about 6 weeks ago! She said the next call I will get will be a surgery date and I should get that some time this week. They usually book about 4 weeks out, so it looks like I am going to be going sometime around mid or late April.
She did say that my gallbladder showed stones when they did the ultrasound, so she is going to take that out as well to avoid a second surgery down the line. She said it shouldn't increase the recovery or hospital time and I can still have both procedures done laproscopically.   I am excited and will let you know when I get an actual date!

Congrats Liza, Hopefully they will call you soon with a date... I just went to my pre admission testing today and of course started my liquid diet, so far so good... the pre ad testing was simple paperwork , weight, blood pressure, blood drawn, meet with the Anestioglist (ms) and xrays, I was done within an hour....

On the liquid diet you can have one small meal whi*****ludes chicken, fish and vegis, so I went to the market today after work and bought some grilled chicken and stringbeans, and now I'm waiting unitl at least 5pm to eat a little LOLOLO.

Well Good luck with everything I will keep  you posted as well...

Christine
