Stomach Pain
Hey all,
Loving life here in San Diego...Hope all is well with you guys....
OK, has anyone had a Gallbladder problem after WLS. I am not sure, but my stomach is killing me and I have never felt like this before. The pain is all over my tummy and shoots up to my heart. Makes me lose my breath. Sound familiar to anyone?
It is not constant, but has been coming and going all weekend!
Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen,
I had gall stones years ago. What I felt was severe right upper quadrant pain that radiated to my back and/or up toward my heart. The pain was so severe it did take my breath away. I would also sweat and had to position myself (sometimes it felt better if I laid flat on my back****il the attack went away. (anywhere from 10-30 minutes usually) Keep us updated and let us know how you are doing. It was not a constant pain with me and did come and go. Sometimes attributed to what I ate.

Hey Jen,
Have you followed-up with a bariatric surgeon in your area yet? Have you gone to the base to see if you can get a referral and/or an ultrasound?
I had my gallbladder out in 1993 but have been experiencing gallstone symptoms a lot lately.
I had my 9 month follow-up with Dr. P today. He's sending me for an ultrasound to rule-out gallstones in the bile-duct that runs from the liver to the gallbladder. It's rare but it can happen.
My advise would be to get to a doc ASAP! Gallbladder problems are nothing to sweep under the rug!
Please let us know how you're doing!
Jules
