Diabetes & RNY
Ok, I am getting just a little frustrated here... I was told that the diabetes should go away after the RNY. My blood sugars are still above 160 and its making me nuts. The whole reason for this surgery was to go into remission with the diabetes. Any words from my friends here would be appreciated. Anyone go through this too? I will be pretty upset if I still have diabetes after going through this. Its also 1:20 in the morning and I am on vicodin at this moment, so please excuse the whining. LOL thanks and love ya! Eldy
Eldy,
Give it time. Yes these things take time. RNY does not just diabetes away or anything for that matter, but in time you will see it get better. Remember it has not been that long since you had surgery. I had high blood presure and that took about 3 month for me to get off medication after my surgery. So my friend these thing will take time. Hang in there you will do it.
Oh yeah never feel bad for whining if you can't whine to us who can you whine too. We are here for you for the good and the bad. Your doing great.
Hugs,
Lisa
