I could use some help.....anyone?
Some things I've thought about.....
Dance - a lot of gyms and fitness studios offer Zoomba...this could be fun
Tennis - Here in Bristol, there is a common 1/2 a block from my house with tennis courts. I've never played tennis, but I would definately like to learn and think it would be fun!
I'm up for anything really.....once it warms up, I'll be doing a lot of swimming..Have I mentioned that I hate winter and cant wait for the warm weather!!
Anyway....any interest???
Hope to still see you there,
Liza
Hi Angela - I have been doing pretty well with my exercise since my surgery - doint 6 days per week but lately I'm just not feeling it. I've been doing it but my heart is not in it at all! Here's a few things I been doing to get a little more motivated
Reading on the tredmill. I find when I have a book I feel like i'm doing two things at once, so psychologically it is very rewarding - weird huh. I find that 45 minutes at 15% incline flies by.
Zoomba is great! I've taken a few classes and if you can find one locally it is definately worth it. It's fun and sassy - and we could all use a little sassy - it also activates hip muscles that you don't know are there. I find that when I was doing it once a week I had a little extra swagger in my step. Also the belly dance fitness DVD's are great.
If you have cox communications the on demand channel has exericse TV. It's under health and wellness and it is free. You can pick from many different workouts if you want to try something different without spending money to find out that you just don't like it.
Did you know that there is family swim at RWU? It's on Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 and it's $5.00 for a whole family. Pool, sauna, hot tub - cheap spa day! They also do community lap swim for adults but i'm not sure how much that is but i think it's cheap.
