Well I just got back from my Barium Swallow...yummy!!! NOT

Great new is NO SLIP & BAND DOES NOT SEEM 2 BE 2 TIGHT!!!

Bad news....I still have pain in my left side but since I laid off the Buffalo chicken the heart burn has settled a little. Thanks Jules for the Papaya Enzymes...they have been helping! Where do I get my hands on a bottle?? I see Dr Roye on Monday so lets see what he says.

Question...I have NEVER Thrown up since getting the band... Anyone have any other symptoms when they overeat. I am thinking that I am overeating and this pain is a delayed full feeling??? IDK??? Anyone??

Thanks all
Jaime

I'm glad to hear no slip, but I'm not happy you don't have answers.  I have not thrown up either (well- once with a stomach flu a few weeks ago and TMI- it was barely a mouthful)
I have no idea what a full feeling is like with this- heck, maybe that would explain my pain every once in a while as well.  I hope you find answers!

Oh Yummers!

Well, I'm happy to hear about your good news my friend!

I get my Papaya Enzyme from GNC. The price is great too!

Is your port on the same side as your pain? Because the port gets sewn onto your abdominal muscle wall, is it possible that because you're losing weight (so well, I might add) that the port, itself, is pulling on the muscle too much?

Also, if having the constriction from your band is anything like having a stoma, I can tell you that if I overeat, besides vomitting, I get a pain right behind the base of my sternum where my pouch is located. And, OUCH, it hurts like hec****il either something clears through my stoma or I just let time go by and let my pouch empty.

Hope this helps in some way!

I am not sure if what you are experiencing is a full feeling but it sounds like it. I'm just starting to feel a little restriction and the times that I am full I fave a few signs.  I will hiccup and I do get an uncomfortable feeling in the right side of my chest.  Sometimes I will sneeze and my nose will itch and run.  After my last fill I had a couple of instances where I didn't chew well and my I did have some hearburn and it was like a foamy feeling in my mouth and severe hiccups.  It also gave me an awful feeling of panic but it all went away once the food passed.

It's a hard feeling to notice so that's why they tell you to measure your food and eat slowly becuase it seems that if I'm not paying attention the feeling will pass by.  Even when I'm full though, I still feel "empty"?  I do o****il my band opens up around 4:00 and then for some reason I get very hungry.   I had my last fill about four weeks ago and the restriction seems to have disappeared this week?  Also, if I don't drink my water I find that the band is much looser.

Hope this helps you!
Jen
