Sad new from Ruth I told her I would share with you all
Hey all I go a email from Ruth today that I cut and paste for all.
Ruth you are in my thoughts and prays. So sorry for you loss. If there is anything you need even just to talk call me.
This was the email I got from Ruth about her dad passing.
Please share this with our group....Thank you Hi, I thought that you might like to know that my dad passed away on Monday (Feb 16th) He was recently diagnosed (1/20/09) with Stage IV lung cancer that metastasized to the brain. The reality of his death has been very hard, he was only 68 years old.
I did have had the wonderful opportunity to be by his side these past 4 weeks.We talked about his life, his salvation, and the way he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had such a way about him, that those who met him rarely forgot him! Even in the last days, he still retained his humor.
I miss my father dearly, and wanted to invite those who had an opportunity to meet him to share in this last part of his legacy.
His funeral will be held at:
Davins Funeral Home
One Old Montauk Hwy
Mastic, NY 11955
Viewing hours will be Saturday (2/21) and Sunday(2/22) from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, meeting at 10AM on Monday(2/23), at the funeral home and then driving to Calverton National Cemetary for the burial with full Military Honors.
