Having a hard time post-op
Hi Ash!
I found that warmer fluids went down better. Little, baby sips at a time. If I had too big of a sip/gulp it would make me nauseous.
Just keep sipping!
I'll call you again tomorrow so we can get together.
Jules

Ashley ~ Hello. Sorry to hear you're struggling, does indeed get frustrating. I too had the challenge of getting my fluids and proteins in for a couple of weeks right after surgery.
Like Julie mentioned try to keep up with the baby sips. Try the things that are warm or for you it may be the sugar free Popsicle that works. You'll just have to experiment a bit to figure out what will make your pouch content. Although we all had the same kind of surgery, our pouches can certainly have likes and dislikes all their own. Temperamental little things!
This beginning process takes time, but you will find your way to successfully get your fluids and proteins in.
Wishes of wellness to you.
