Chris ~ Hello.  I can certainly relate to the pain of joint issues, being diagnosed with degenerative osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.  Since my surgery in August, have been feeling significant relief from those issues.  Feel so much better regarding my ability to move. Exercise has been easier.  Have significantly decreased the meds I take for these issues.  Have a greater energy level too.   My brother describes me as having a whole new pep to step.

Chris ,
I have had joint problems all my life.  As most know here this past Sept I had to replace the hip.   I have really bad knee but , since the bypass and the loss of the wt.   I been doing great with the knee  even walked up 6 floor of stairs 3x this past week and  up to walking close to 3 miles every other day.  Even my back is starting to feel like my age and not   in my 90s.   I hope you  feel the pain go away after  your surgery.  Good luck.

Hey Chris!

I've got degenerative disc disease in my spine, osteoarthritis in my hips and bursitis in my knees. I have also had three discs removed in my neck (two different surgeries). And have had right shoulder surgery.

Prior to surgery I walked with assistance when I left the house, with a cane (sometimes two canes or a walker) in my own home and could not use stairs. The last time I attempted stairs was two months before surgery and broke my left ankle (didn't find it was actually broken until it already healed).

Now, I have absolutely NO pain in my knees, my neck and lower back pain is manageable and I only need a cane to walk when I leave the house. I can even use stairs and will opt to use them over using an elevator when I only have to go one floor up or down! My right shoulder and neck pain has also improved considerable because there isn't as much weight pulling down on them.

So, all in all, I would say my joint pain has improved more than I had hoped. I still have my bad days and a lot still depends on how much I over-push myself but I'm indeed extremely happy with my overall decreased pain percentages.

See you soon!

Jules
