first steps..
Wow, Beck!
That's great news! I haven't been to that support group. Please let me know how you like it!
I'm glad your PCP agrees with you. It makes the journey so much easier!
God Bless!

Becki ~ Hello. Good for you getting out to the support groups. Like Julie, curious to hear about this one you're going to this evening. Just heard about it recently on a post Sue made here. Called them today for info and got on the list for the March meeting, sounds like they keep it small with no more than 12 individuals. Maybe we'll get a chance to say hello in person at one of the support groups out there.

hey guys!
so my first support group experience went well. i would definitely recommend this one. it's a small group, there were 7 of us tonight. 5 post op and 2 pre op. everyone was so nice and supportive, and i definitely learned a lot just being there for an hour and a half. make sure to bring a notebook! they were giving out lots of ideas and things that have worked for them.. good advice. maybe i need the notebook cuz i have a bad memory, lol.
anyways, there is no fee to join.. but you do need to register for it. it's held in the waiting room and is very tight for space. i'll be calling tomorrow to rejoin for the march one, so i'll see you there sandy!
phone # to register is 401 885 6629
308 cowesett ave. west warwick, 02893
(there's also 2 other locations, middletown and lincoln!)
there's a group on the 1st wednesday for the band patients
and a group the 2nd tuesday for bypass patients, both 7-8p.
hope to meet some more of you there next month! tomorrow i go to dr. pohl's seminar. :)
