OT .... Jimmy Buffett

I got my tickets this morning for both shows!!!  I'm going to the Thursday (6/25) and the Saturday (6/27) show at Great Woods.   They can call it Tweeter Center all they want but it will always be Great Woods. 

Some of you already know but for those who don't ...... I am a HUGE parrott head.  Love Jimmy, love tailgating, especially love the Jell-O shots.   Went to 8 concerts last year, but this year due to the lay-off I will only be doing 3 .... maybe 4 if I can convince hubby.  We will do both days at Great Woods, also going to Mohegan Sun in November.  Last year he was at the Newport Folk Festival and if he does that again I will be there.

They will definately be sugar-free this year.  I told Matt we will have to make some at home prior to the concert to see how I handle them.  Last thing I need is dumping when your surrounded by porta-johns.  


I did get myself an outfit to wear for the concert last time we went to Margaritaville at Mohegan Sun.  I got the shorts (I swear my underwear used to be bigger than these shorts are) a tank top, and the jacket that goes with the set.   I will fit into it all and I will look good as I do my Fins Up. 
  Margaritaville here I come.  

Have a blast.   Don't have to many Jell-O shot but have one for me.  lol..

We always do a huge thing of fruit soaked in booze.  Matt's specialty is watermelon, pineapple, and grapes soaked in triple sec, barcardi raz, and sky vodka for 24 hours.  It is all soooooo good and has one heck of a kick to it.  Don't think I'll be loading up on the fruit this year, especially since everyone of those items disagrees with me

We also do fireballs which are marachino cherries soaked in hot damn for 3 days

Guess I have 4 months to come up with a WLS friendly tailgating menu. 

I myself a fellow parrott head...I got my tixs for the Sat show in Mansfield. I am also going to Tampa to see him in April...I am going to see a friend of mine who lives in Fla.

When is he playing in November at Mohegan??  Did tixs already go on sale for that date??

Mohegan is 11/21 and tickets are not open to the public yet.  They are taking club orders right now.  

He is going to be at Madison Square Garden on 11/24, I would love to be there.  Maybe if I find a job before then. 

Right now I have 29 of his dates from April - November, and he is suppose to open up a few more.  Hoping he comes back to the Newport Folk Fesitval this year, last year was amazing.  They let you go right up along the stage and take pictures of him.  He would smile and pose at the group, it was great.
