So I've had my surgery about 7/8 weeks ago. I ended up having a complication the day after my surgery. I have to say I was extremely disappointed in the way the nurses treated me on the unit I got thrown on because the unit wasn't the one I was supposed to be on. I ended up on an orthopedic floor. The nurses wouldn't take me seriously when I told them that there was something wrong in the afternoon and they needed to call my doctor. Well, the complication ended up being a small bowel obstruction which wasn't delt with until Thursday being two days after my surgery. Now, I'm doing okay, still have a few difficulties. I just thought I'd update everyone. So far from the surgery itself I lost 40lbs, a total of 69lbs when I started the shakes back in December. Thanks for all the support I recieved while I was away.

Thanks,
Jessica

Glad to hear your doing well now.  Sorry to hear about the complication and that the nurses wouldn't listen to you.  It is very frustrating when they don't pay attention to us, we know our bodies and know when something isn't right.
