Hi to all my fellow RI OH'ers
Things are good here. Getting LOTS of exercise. I joined Jazzercise and I walk the kids to school daily. Actually, my weight loss kicked in again after I got here from all the walking. I am within 3 lbs of my goal (on a good day) and I know I will make it.
The kids are involved in EVERYTHING!!! They keep me very busy. The girls are both in Girl Scouts and are selling the dreadded "Cookies" this year!!!! If you are like me, you probably don't want them in your house. If you would like to still support the GS, you can take part in the "Operation Thin Mint" campaign and send cookies to the troops overseas. I would be more than happy to order them for you if you like. You can let me know how many you would like to send (they are 4.00 per box), and mail me a check. I will get them ordered and sent!!!!
Tom has been in and out a lot and will continue to do so until they leave on Deployment in Sept. I have really missed being a part of a "Ship". It is nice to have all the extra friends and support that come along with ship life. The kids and I enjoy being there when the ship comes and goes. It gives them a good sense of what to expect when he leaves. At least they know he will come back.
I hope this finds you all well and healthy and getting skinnier by the second!!!! I am so happy and proud of all of you! I have not even looked at the Cali. board, you are my "OH" family!!!!
Take care,
Jen
JEN!
Wow! We miss you!
I'm so happy that you are finding your way around there. The exerce class and the walking! Wow! You are really doing this!
I'm so proud of you!
Although my hubby is Army, I understand what you mean about being part of a 'ship'. It's like a bonded 'family'. My husband's unit comes back the end of March. I'm the co-ordinator for the family support group and have truly enjoyed getting to know all the families and friends of our soldiers!
Are there any support groups in your area? Have you hooked up with a local bariatic surgeon for your follow-ups?
Girl Scout cookies.....ughhh! I'm usually the neighborhood goldmine for all the girlscouts in the area! This year I'm saying no! I feel really bad about it too. I usually by them by the case and now the girls are so discouraged because I'm not doing that. Now all my money goes to clothes! Hee hee
Great to hear from you! Keep up the great work! Did I mention???? I'm so proud of you!!!
Jules
