Hey BR, nice to see you back!  twenty five lbs doesnt look bad especially since youve alrfeady lost eleven! way to go!  I know what you mean about being scared, I get scared every time i think of it but it makes me more scared to think that the bypass wouldnt be available to me, then where would i be? so.......Good luck with your appointment!!  I got an initial appt with Dr Giovanni on Feb 2 so Im getting very excited about things also!

Chris - my advice is to just keep your "eye on the prize".  The prize being your good health will be awaiting you on the other end of the rainbow.  It's a good idea to start your healthy eating habits now before surgery so it will make things alot easier for you after.  Try starting to get the 64 oz of water in daily - this will also make you fuller feeling which will help with weight loss.   Just think - 14 lbs to go to your new life!

Best of luck and God Bless!

Pam

Hey Chris,

How are you doing??  I know that losing the weight prior isn't easy...I took the route of the exception. But trust me brother...get as much as you can off...it will pay off!!!  Dr. G told my Dad and Jules when she was done that the surgery went smoothly because of the amount of weight I loss...it gave her more room. I tried to lose as much as I could so I could ensure it was done Lap. She wanted me to lose 75 lbs...I went in down 130 lbs.  As you may/may not know I did Optifast and all liquid for 4 months...but my point is dig deep down and try to drop as much as possible...it will help Dr. Sax during surgery! Hope all is well brother!! Just my .02

Chris ~ Hello.  You're 11 pounds down on your way to Little Rhody, that's a great start.  Keep up the great work.  It's not easy work, but you're doing it.  You know now first hand how wrong some individuals are when they say having weight loss surgery is an easy way out.
This journey brings forward so many emotions.  I know I experienced many emotions from the moment the idea of weight loss surgery became a serious one for me.  My range went from excitement to downright fright.   My brother who is awaiting his insurance approval for his gastric sleeve surgery, asked me the other day if I had any regrets and I can say it was easy for me to say - no regrets.
Good luck wishes to you for your February 13th appointment.

WTG on that first 11 pounds Chris!  nearly 1/2 of what you need for that apt.  Nerves are normal, but as everyone has said- a healthy you is worth it!
