Rob's update from Julie

Hello All,
  I just got a call from Julie and she asked me to post this for everyone to see. 

Rob is in recovery and doing well.  As of today he has has lost 132lbs and the surgery took less then 2 and 1/2 hrs to do.   Julie said she would call once he is out of recovery and give me another update that I will be able to give you guys.

Great news!!!  I'm SO happy for him!!

Hey Everyone!

Rob is in his room and resting well. When I left the hospital around 2PM, he wasn't in any pain except the discomfort from that internal gas we all suffer from post-operatively!

He is overwhelmed with all the love and support he receives from all you wonderful people here on OH! He truly feels blessed and is very grateful for making so many friends!

He is in room 442 (Center 4) and has a phone by his side. He knows that if he is resting,,,,not to pick up the phone! So, no worries about bothering him, k? He's already receiving phone calls from his Florida and Kentucky Sweethearts!

You know Rob, he loves to chit chat (especially with the ladies) so call him.

In fact, he already has the nurses trained....each time they address him or have to give him a shot or get him to walk, he has them ending their sentence with "...because you're so cute"!

  

Now, I had to let the nurses know what his nickname is here on OH....MAJOR Flirt! So, hee hee hee, now they address him as MAJOR!

Hey Julie, Florida Sweetheart here!

It was more than awesome to talk to you yesterday. You are so sweet!

I talked with Rob today and he is feeling better. Still walking. Still waiting for that first fart that seems like the best fart you will ever had. Yeah, RNY will make you feel that way! lol.

He has felt a bit dizzy today, but the doc did some bloodwork and it came back OK. I wonder if it is the pain meds and he said he would ask if that could be it.

I will let you guys know if I hear more and please do the same for me.

And MAJOR FLIRT - yeah, that so fits.

It was great talking to you on the phone yesterday! It's so good to know that Rob has beautiful friends in his corner, even as far away as Florida. He couldn't have chosen a better Angel! You mean a lot to him!

I visited Rob today and as you said, he's still waitin' for that first one. Tee hee. He's got some great burps goin' though so that's helping to rid him of the gas pains.

Yes, light headed. I felt light headed too. RNY is quite a shock to our system! Plus he's already lost 132 pounds and so quickly!

They took more blood while I was there and should know more tonight. He'll probably be out Friday, depending on how the dizziness goes.

He's doing so well though! He's got a great roomie and wonderful, loving parents! He's a lucky man!

Thanks Jules, he means a whole lot to me too. But it is hard not to love Rob! I don't think anyone couls resists his charms. :)

Thanks for the update. He sounds great today on the phone! I bet they let him go home tomorrow.

Ugh!  I missed being able to send well wishes to Rob as my computer has been dead for the last month!  I am so glad to hear he is doing well.
