Hi Tmick,

Seems like you are in the same boat as me. I am going to be having my surgery with Dr. Roye at RIH too. I got my testing packet at the end of december and all of my tests are scheduled for this month. I am so excited. I dont know of anyone else going through this or having surgery with Dr. Roye...It seems most people goto Dr. Pohl. Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated.

Wow One year!! I have been waiting 6 months so far!! I just got my packet yesterday and have the same teasting schedule as you - the last is the pulmonary and ABG... don't forget on that list are 3 tests that are not scheduled and one is bloodwork that has to be the last test - I called and was told we could have that done the same day as the ABG test.

Hi JDC,

I am getting the Lap Band procedure done. I am very excited, im just wondering how long it will take to actually have the surgery once all the test are completed. Have you met with Dr. Roye? I started this process in September and met with the NP and that was it.

I started in July when I went to the info session and saw him... then I had an appointment that is usually with the NP but was with him because she was on vacation. I needed to complete a 6 month pre-op diet. Finished in Dec - got my approval within 3 days of that... fast forward to now.

I am guessing we will get the final appointment with him within 2 weeks of the last test req.  and I am guessing that within 3 weeks from there we will have our surgery.  I am not positive but those are my best gueses... I was hoping from the beginning to have my surgery this month but I am guessing March now.
