2009 - Lapband Conference - NYC
To all of my lapband friends (and others too of course!).......
Has anyone heard about this conference? It's in March 2009 at the Laguardia Marriott Hotel in Elmhurst, NY.

FYI, I grew up and lived in NYC till my career took me to MA.
Just to let you know, this hotel is about 30 - 45 minutes at least from Manhattan (NYC) by car. You can always take the NYC Subway from Forest Hills or Flushing. This location is Queens country, (King of Queens sitcom) not far from the Old World Fairs complex, just off the Grand Central Parkway, across the highway from the airport.
I just don't want you to be surprised -- that you are not in downtown NYC

Thanks for the info. I knew we weren't going to be in Manhattan, but didn't know how far it was from the hotel to downtown.
No problem though. We're staying an extra day to hang out in the city!
