Hi everyone.

Just wondering how everyone did over the holidays?   I just got on the Wii Fit this morning and it says I am exactly the same as last Saturday.  Very frustrating since I was very aware of everything going into my mouth, wrote it all done, and exercised.  I am having one issue - haven't been the bathroom in a couple of days.... my IBS is acting up and I go from one extreme to the other.   Hoping the scale will change after that.

Matt gained 2 1/2 pounds.

So as I reflect in my food journal and see that I hit my protein and stayed in the calories I have to wonder what did I do.  The only thing different is that I had ham at my MIL and pizza one night.  So maybe the fatty ham and the dough isn't a good thing for me.

Oh well, off to Planet Fitness and gratefull the scale didn't go up.

Hi Sue!

Sounds to me like you did a very good job staying within your goals for the holiday! Good for you.

Ham has a lot of sodium! Do you think that could be it? It's only been a couple days. Maybe your hard work won't show until next week's weigh-in!

Sounds like Matt is feeling better! Hee hee!

I did really well. The calories were up but I stayed with the pouch rules and within 5 gms fat and 5 gms sugar for each serving.

I DID, however, have my first drinky!!!! I got really, really drunk!!!! OMG!!!! I had Vodka and diet Ocean Spray Cranberry juice! Whoa Momma!!!

I was surrounded by my very loving and supportive hubby and grown children and quite frankly, I had a freakin' blast!!!!

Meredith!.....definitely try the alcohol for the first time while you're at home. Please don't wait until you're at the Casino to try it for the first time. What an adventure (to say the least).

Anywho, I lost a half pound! Hang over and all!

Happy New Year, Sue!!!

Ok for the past 2 weeks before Christmas I did not loose nothing.  zip zero.  I was getting scared. I have heard the doctor tell me and other tell me if you change your diet some it might change and get you going again.  Well, IT WORKED.   I lost as of this morning 3lbs.  I have now lost 163lbs I am on the move again.

Lisa

Tell yah If I got on the scale this week and said I stay the same again that would have been ok just as long as I don't gain.  That scare me.

I ate fairly normally and met my goal of being 169 by Christmas! I am still 169 today! I did not dare try one single item that had refined sugar in it. Have not dared to since the surgery. Too afraid of dumping. That fear serves me well, I guess!

I had a drink the weekend before Christmas.  Three sips of a martini and the bar was spinning, my husband had to help me off the stool.  I had a blast and he was loving it too.   Good thing I'm a happy giddy drunk.

I hit the gym yesterday and am on my way there today.  I definately ate something yesterday that has helped clear up the issues with my IBS so I may attempt to get on the scale later on to see how I'm doing.

I can tell you that we are going out for New Years and I will not be drinking and will be watching anything going into my mouth.

You know...I'm still in shock over my holiday. I've been sitting between 152-155 for months now and happy to be there. Most of you know I'm no longer trying to lose, just maintain now. But for some reason, I'm losing again. This morning I was down to 150. The last few days its been going down again. What makes it worse is today, I really just dont want to eat anything. I've had to more or less force myself to eat and dinner I couldnt even really do that. I ate 2 bites and just couldnt do it.
I'm sure this is just a temporary thing and will stop in a couple days and I'll probably be back to normal, but its just a shock.
