finally I am joining everyone here on the loser's bench!
Hi all, I have been on here for months now quietly soaking up the advise, support, suggestions. I had my surgery on 12/16, came home on 12/18. I am feeling much better and have an appt to see Dr V tomorrow. I can't wait to have the JP drain removed I think that will make a big difference pain wise.
I do have a question....I had an IVC filter implanted and have had some severe pain at the insertion site (groin) sice Wednesday night. The doctor at the hospital and Dr V both said it was probably a nreve near the site and it just had to have time to heal. Well on Saturday the pain (which comes and goes and only lasts a few seconds each time) was so severe - it brings tears to my eyes and makes me jump - I called the surgeon that did the filter surgery, he said he doubted it was from the filter surgery but probably from the way I was positioned during the bypass surgery??? Are you kidding? It is in the exact spot the filter was put in. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Or had the IVC filter surgery and have anything similarf happen?
Thank you all you have been a great support for me before surgery!
Sue
