Sorry I couldn't make it...this surgery has me down. I am doing better, but mentally trying to keep in the exercise mode...since I can't physically yet, but I do walk. I did not gain any weight with the surgery, (gained 7 lbs with GBS---fluid retention?) and am down to 227. I would like to be down to 220 before the year is up, but I do not want to risk a hernia. Sometimes I push myself, as I did Wed (surgery was Monday) and opened up a little of the incision...so rest for me!!! And NO snow shoveling!!! ha ha
I did go out to the mall yesterday before the weather turned bad (Brett drove since I can't for another week or so) Christmas Morning only comes 1X a year, so I had to do some errands!!
I will make Christmas cookies with the kids today...most of that can be done sitting, and my Dave is such a big boy helper!
My biggest problem is protein! I am using shakes, but it gets boring after a while....you guys NEED to write a cook book for us dummies!!!
Well, I hope that the meeting was successful and that there are many good reports!
Hope to be back in the loop by January!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Love ya,
Ruth
