I have been researching this - wow so expensive (I know I am counting my chickens before they hatch!)

I was wondering if you considered Mt Sinai in NY or any of the schools...

I know I am going to want some kind of plastics so I am preparing my hubby for a huge loan!

RI hospital has a teaching program and they say the cost is about 1/2. I think I might check into it just to see what the difference is, but I'm kind of scared of having a student do something so big, Even though they have a doctor there with them.
I dont know...but I think I'll check it out and see just for fun since this is only the 1st of the 3 procedures I need.

To have "the girls" and a leg lift - my quote was approx 14K.  The doctor I spoke with said that the lower body lift is much more time intensive so I am not surprised at the additional cost.

I am planning on doing this next winter...

Hey Ang!

I've actually been checking things out myself and most of the prices are around $25,000 so I'm not surprised by the quote you received.

I, personally, like RIH and have a lot of confidence in their teaching docs. If money is an issues, it's certainly something to consider.

I think that's where I'll go for plastics if I decide to do something with the 'girls' and an abdominoplasty. I'm thinking of something facial too. Like a mini-facelift.

Thanks for sharing all this stuff with us.

See you Saturday!

oh my Angela - looks like I won't be having plastics any time soon!  I am hoping to figure out a way for my insurance to pay for something.  Anyone else with Blue Cross RI Healthmate?

Thanks for publishing the costs.  I currently am in the processs & will also post when I find out the $ involved.  Wow, big bucks!  And then there are meds, etc.  I wonder if they are covered.

I am hoping that Blue Cross Healthmate will pay for a breast reduction.  I should hear soon.  You need to have at least l lb. removed from each breast.  The best person to ask re: health insurance coverage is the P.S. It's odd that while my bra size has decreased, cup size has increased.  I must have lost a fair amount of muscle from my upper body as the more I lost, the more upper body pains increased.  Arthritis is not happy with this.

I am hesitant to have more than one procedure at a time; e.g., tummy tuck).  BTW, no-go for insurance on the latter, but mine is not as bad as some. I enjoy living a life with a minimum of discomfort and pain killers, so I wonder how much is really saved by having more than one procedure done at a time.  Sounds like an awful lot of stress on the body not to mention the pocketbook.

So details will follow later.
