Confessions...

So - I've just confessed to my buddy on here what I did today and I figured I'd make a post about it so I dont feel like I'm the only one...

I just went to the ladies room on break and instead of taking the "no candy" route I walked down the isle with the bowl of candy, I stopped and grabbed some M&M's and ate about 10 of them... stupid - I know.

I'm having a hard time lately and I just need to vent. I went to the NUT on Monday and she said that I need to up my calories but this is NOT the right way to do it.

UGH - I'm so frustrated.

So - anyone have anything else to confess?

Yup!! Every day I have to take at least a bite of something I should not. I always have reasoning to why I did it. It is so frustrating to have an addiction. If only our brains would listen to our stomach things would be so easier.

Laura my friend you are not alone.  You know the story with the candy bar over Halloween time.  I went back to work today and I hear what your saying about the candy. It is all over the place in our office. I try not to look at it. I did good today but not sure how I will do when we have our  office party on the 19th That a all day eating thing.  I like to call in sick but, don't think that will go over well, being out as long as I have.   The fact that you confess to us tell me a lot  YOUR A STRONG PERSON.   You have come so far.  Don't be to hard on yourself.  I am gonna still something Jules once told me the old day you would have ate the whole bowl of  M&M.  Just think this time it was only 10.

Love ya,
Lisa

Hello Lovely Laura,

You actually counted the M&M's! Now, write it down in your food journal and move on. It's the Holidays and we are bound to 'slip' here and there. You're fine! You recognize the bad and the good. The first step of any 12-step program is...admitting you have a problem. We all know the answer(s) to this one.

Like Jaime said, "It's an addiction". I'm proud of you Laura! I'm also proud you're my angel!

My confession is that I am not going to the gym as regularly as I should. I go about three days a week but I really should go five. And I don't switch up my routine enough either.

That said, I'm going tomorrow! Just so I can tell you I went when I see you at the meeting tomorrow night!

I love you Laura!

Jules

Well, I'm pre surgery and totally know what you are going through! Coming from the other side of all of this, it probably would have been 10 bags, so make sure to see the positive side of all of this!

Also, you are very aware of what you are eating which is probably a big change from pre surgery.

Keep your head up!

Robyn
