Hello to everyone,
I have just recieved my approval from my insurance after a year, and I was just wondering how much longer am I gonna have to wait before my big day, I have already had the sleep test, met with a dietican and the
psychologist. I know there are more test to take but am anxious.

Are you having lap band or RNY? Has the doctor's office given you your "laundry list" of things you have to do?  Looks like you've gotten a few of the biggies done already - I mean the things that take the most time to complete.  Shouldn't be long for you now!!

Best of luck to you!

Congratulations on getting your insurance approval.  Once my required tests/appointments were done, it took about 10 days for me to hear from my surgeon's office with a date.  Wishes of wellness as you begin your WLS journey.

Hi!

A few friends and I were talking about how long it took us to have our surgeries from the start of the first testing to the actual date we had the surgery.

Seemed we all waited about four months total!

Welcome to the board! Hope to see you here often!

I had Dr Roye for my lapband surgery (LOVE him!!!) and I was pretty slow about getting my big apts scheduled.  The sleep study, NUT, and psych took the longest to schedule and you have two of the three of them done already.  The other big tests can already scheduled in thier packet they sent me in the mail with my approval and list of tests.  I got through the tests in about 2 months, scheduled with Dr Roye to go over the results and got my surgery date on the day of that apt.  My surgery was about 2 weeks out from that apt.

Good Luck!!!
